Alysha Daniel, Figure Skating

Alysha is originally from Fort Collins, CO. She started skating when at 4 years old and played hockey and figure skating her first few years, until she chose to focus on Figure Skating full time. Alysha competed at the Senior level for 3 years until she decided to retire at age 18. She then began coaching throughout college and loved it! Alysha has now been coaching with Telluride Figure Skating Club since 2011. She enjoys working with all levels and ages of kids and seeing how they learn and progress so quickly! It’s so fun to teach something and have them work hard and then finally land that jump or complete that skill. Alysha has been a certified “learn-to-skate” instructor since 2007 and has her highest level of single figure skating test at the Senior Gold Moves in the Field and Freeskate.

Bobbi Lynn Smith, Figure Skating

Bobbi Lynn Smith grew up figure skating in exhibitions and competitively from 2nd grade through high school in Denver, CO. After graduating from Fort Lewis College in Durango, she moved to Telluride to ski in the mid 80’s. Figure skating skills and skiing complement each other.  It’s all about edges and balance.  Bobbi Lynn has enjoyed coaching the Telluride community since the early 90’s outside on the oval rink. Now she is delighted to help Telluride’s youth learn their jumps and spins on the beautiful indoor ice at the Hanley Rink. Figure skating takes hard work and determination and Bobbi Lynn loves coaching this passionate group of kids and revel in their successes.
